*Excerpt from Sydney Morning Herald 12-12-2012

A state of emergency has been declared over night as the city of Canberra, the nations capital has been swept by a fast acting virus. Details are still being confirmed but during the early hours of this morning, reports confirm that the residents of Canberra rose from slumber and filled the streets just before dawn. They then proceeded to go into hiding as day broke.

What has caused the unusual behaviour is still unknown.

Some speculate that it is a fast acting virus or chemical weapon. The Prime minister has declared a mass quarantine, urging all Australian's to stay in their homes. An emergency hotline has been set up however there have been no confirmed cases outside ACT state lines.

A perimeter around the ACT has been set up by HAZMAT and armed forces. Roadblocks at all major exits to the city have also been installed. Until deemed safe, no one is to cross ACT borders.
